After what seemed a very long winter, spring, however rainy and late, is here. That means many exciting things are underway. After having spent the last two weekends up at camp, we've wasted no time in getting the party started! First, I've acquired an additional 3 acre parcel complete with a rather incomplete cabin. It lies directly across the creek from my main camp. Second, we've put the final touches on the plans for the main cabin and will break ground in the next few days. Did I forget anything? Oh yes, in all the excitement about the cabins, I forgot that spring brings it's own rewards. Time to get apple and pear trees planted. Potatoes and onions too. Time to start fishing for trout. Remember, brown trout like the still waters, brook trout like the riffles. Grab your rod and tie your favorite fly and lets . Welcome to the camp, 2011!
Agenda:
- break ground on 20 x 40 cabin
- build a shed for storage
- drill a well
- plant orchard and veggies
- clean out springbox and cover it
- bring up furniture, wood stove, generator, solar panels, batteries, wind turbine
So much to do! This is fun
